Terms of Business:
Discovery calls:
Please be advised that personalised nutritional advice or recommendations cannot be provided during the initial 15-minute introductory telephone call. This is for insurance and safety purposes, as I will not yet have reviewed your full medical history, medications or other relevant health information. We can arrange the date and time of your first consultation during the discovery call, or by email shortly afterwards.
Fees:
Programme fees must be paid by bank transfer, and all consent forms and the online health questionnaire completed, at least 4 full working days before your first consultation. For Friday clinic appointments, I ask that payment and forms are received by the preceding Sunday evening. This gives me sufficient time to review your medical and health history and prepare for your consultation. Completing the questionnaire in advance also allows us to make the best use of your appointment, focusing on your health goals, recommendations and action plan rather than spending a large proportion of the consultation gathering background information.
If payment, consent forms or the health questionnaire are not received by the deadline, your appointment may need to be postponed. Where preparation time and/or a clinic appointment has already been reserved, this may count as one of the four consultations included within your programme unless otherwise agreed.
Appointment cancellations and Rescheduling:
Your 12-week programme includes 4 consultation appointments. Each consultation has a structure in place, personalised, but each focusing on different areas of gut health and the final appointment tying it all together, a longer term and future flare up plan . Each appointment is reserved specifically for you and, for face-to-face appointments, clinic facilities are booked and paid for in advance. If you need to cancel, postpone or reschedule an appointment, please provide at least 48 hours' notice to allow me time to offer the slot to other clients.
Appointments missed, cancelled, postponed or rescheduled with less than 48 hours' notice will be counted as one of the four appointments included within your 12-week programme. Your remaining programme appointments will continue as planned. Additional follow-up consultations (for example a missed final consultation for the long term plan or for further support) can be booked at my standard follow-up rate, currently £75. I understand that genuine emergencies and exceptional circumstances can arise, and these may be considered at my discretion
Cancellation of the whole programme:
If you wish to cancel your programme shortly before your initial consultation, or soon after, please contact me as soon as possible. Your cancellation and refund rights are set out in the Terms of Engagement consent form provided when you sign up for your programme, including your applicable 14-day cooling-off rights. Please be aware that I begin professional preparation before your first consultation once your completed health questionnaire has been received. This may include reviewing your health history, symptoms, medications, test results and other information provided in order to prepare for your consultation.
Consent forms:
All clients must read and sign the BANT Terms of Engagement and GDPR documentation before their first consultation. These documents will be emailed to you in advance.
Nutritional Therapy advice:
Clients must fully understand that a Nutritional Therapist cannot claim to ‘diagnose’, ‘treat’, 'cure' or ‘heal’ any medical disease. Recommendations cannot guarantee improvements and in many cases we are looking to improve gut health and symptoms, and control/ manage IBS. Results vary from individual to individual and also depend on your motivation and consistency implementing lifestyle changes. If medically diagnosed with a condition, always consult a doctor/ other medical practitioner before implementing any changes or taking supplements, particularly if you are on prescriptive medication. The information provided within a consultation is for educational purposes and should not replace medical advice.
12 Weeks of support between appointments:
Your programme includes support between consultations throughout the 12-week period.
Brief emails are welcomed if you have questions relating to your agreed plan or recommendations. A telephone call can also be arranged where appropriate. More complex questions, new symptoms or issues requiring further assessment may need to be discussed during your next consultation rather than by email or telephone.
